Itinerary
Day 1
Nairobi to Amboseli – Under the Shadow of Kilimanjaro
After breakfast, depart Nairobi for Amboseli National Park (approx. 4–5 hours by road). Famous for its large herds of elephants and stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Amboseli offers a classic African safari experience. Arrive in time for lunch and enjoy your first game drive in the afternoon. Return to your lodge or tented camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 2
Full Day in Amboseli – Giants of the Savannah
Wake up early and set off on a full-day game drive with a packed picnic lunch. This is your chance to explore deep into the reserve, visiting the Mara River (especially during migration season) and keeping your eyes open for the Big Five. Your professional guide will track wildlife and share stories about the animals and ecosystem. Return to camp in the evening for a hearty dinner and some rest under the African sky.
Day 3
Amboseli to Lake Naivasha – Rift Valley Escape
After an early breakfast, depart Amboseli and drive to Lake Naivasha in the Great Rift Valley (approx. 6 hours). Arrive in time for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a peaceful boat ride on the lake, watching hippos, water birds, and possibly antelope grazing along the shore. Optionally, visit Crescent Island for a walking safari among zebras and giraffes. Overnight at a lakeside lodge.
Day 4
Lake Naivasha to Maasai Mara – Into the Wild Heart of Kenya
Today, depart after breakfast for the world-renowned Maasai Mara National Reserve (approx. 5–6 hours). Arrive at your safari lodge or tented camp in time for lunch. In the afternoon, embark on your first Mara game drive. You’ll have the chance to spot big cats, elephants, buffalo, and many other species. End the day with sundowners and dinner in the wild.
Day 5
Full Day in Maasai Mara – The Safari Dream
Spend a full day on safari in the Maasai Mara, Kenya’s premier wildlife reserve. During the Great Migration (July–October), watch as massive herds of wildebeest and zebras cross the Mara River—often pursued by crocodiles and big cats. Outside of migration, the game viewing remains exceptional year-round. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush or return to camp for hot lunch. Optional activities include a hot air balloon safari or Maasai village visit.
Day 6
Maasai Mara to Nairobi – Farewell to the Savannah
After a morning game drive and breakfast, check out and begin your journey back to Nairobi. You’ll arrive in the late afternoon and be dropped off at your hotel or the airport for your onward flight.
